Needham sending love to Suni Williams in space

Hundreds of people in Needham, Massachusetts are sending love and support for NASA astronaut Sunita Willians. Williams has been stuck on the International Space Station for approximately six months, according to NBC Boston.
Williams is projected to stay in space through the holidays, after already 171 days.
“She was supposed to be in space for six days and she has been in space for six months,” said Needham student Eitan.
Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft launched on June 5 and the ship went back to Earth because of safety concerns. This left Williams and astronaut Butch Wilmore on the International Space Station.
Williams’ former classmates, elected officials, and admirers came together outside Need High School yesterday to help “lift her spirits,” according to NBC Boston.
Williams and Wilmore are expected to return home to Earth in February 2025.
