Following the English actor’s Boston visit earlier this November, the city of Boston hosted a Tom Holland lookalike competition in Boston Common.
Despite being nearby only a few days prior to the competition, Holland did not make an appearance.
Nevertheless, the competition produced a larger crowd than the event organizers initially expected. Winners were promised to receive a $50 cash prize along with their earned bragging rights.
The event posting stated, “In a time when online dating prospects seem more dismal than ever, we have been forced to take extreme measures. The post stated that the Tom Holland look alike competition would “give the ladies something to yearn for this holiday season.”
Ten individuals competed to be the champion of the Spider-Man actor’s competition. Tested on their dance skills and Tom Holland impression, 26-year-old Nick Anderson left victorious.
Celebrating with the crowd, Anderson expressed appreciation for his award and stressed his single dating status.
On Thursday, Holland surprised The Campus School at Boston College to award the establishment with a $25,000 grant from The Brother’s Trust nonprofit, run by Holland’s family.
