Preparations for the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

The final touches are being put into place today for the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The area surrounding the Nokia Theatre is buzzing with activity. Emmy staffers are literally cutting a rug, a red carpet to be exact, and adorning the giant Emmy statue with gold leaf. Journalists, producers and TV crews are prepping for the big show airing Sunday night on CBS.

When the day winds down, everything will be polished and set into place, and the famous
red carpet will get one last vacuum before the stars arrive.
