Coke to Reveal ‘Plantbottle’ at Vancouver Games

At the Vancouver Olympics, athletes will be going for the gold… and cola.
Coca-Cola Canada says it will introduce its recyclable plantbottle at the Winter Games. They have new plastic packaging, derived from plant-based materials. They will be used for many other Coca-Cola beverages, such as Dasani. The company says the new plantbottles have the same shelf life as traditional plastic ones. So there will be fewer footprints on the track… that is, carbon footprints.
