There will be a new Angel–in the infield. Sources have told ESPN’s Buster Olney the three-time MVP Albert Pujols has signed a 10-year, $250 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels have locked up Pujols with a lucrative long-term deal that will have Pujols in LA until he is 41 years old. The Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals have been in the running for the mega free agent but the Angels simply gave Pujols more security. The deal includes a full no-trade clause, a component that had been missing in the Marlins deal. Pujols has played with only one team since entering the MLB in 2001. He played with the Cardinals in their World Series title runs in 2006 and 2011.
