Obamacare Website Up and Running

Healthcare.gov is up and running smoothly.

Administration officials recently said that the online national healthcare enrollment portal essentially meets all of its goals. They also say more work is needed to make it fully functional. The site can now handle 80,000 consumer visits a day.

A top administration official blamed slow decision-making and lack of accountability for the problems. New servers and upgraded memory have been added. The site now has a 24-hour rapid response team monitoring productivity.

The government continues to work with insurers on system transaction forms. These still need to be sent to consumers to be completed.
