The Mason-Dixon Polling & Research has Clinton up 46 percent to Trump’s 42 percent in the state of Florida. For this poll, there is a •3.5 margin of error. This solidifies Clinton’s current lead in this battleground state.

The poll was conducted from the 27th of September to the 29th. This is one of the first polls conducted after the debate on Monday.

Florida has a four candidate race with the Libertarian and Green Party candidate taking 7 percent and 1 percent, respectively. Four percent of voters in the state are still undecided.

Clinton currently has 83 percent of Democrats voting for her while Trump only has 77 percent of Republicans. Come election day, what will matter most, is which candidate gets the most people in their party to come out to vote.

The poll shows that the majority of the state will vote for either Clinton or Trump in this year’s election. This does not correctly represent what voters think about these candidates however.

Clinton has 39 percent of voters in Florida who have a favorable opinion of her, while Trump only has 31 percent. Clinton has 47 percent of the voting population who have an unfavorable opinion of her and Trump has 53 percent.

This shows that Florida voters don’t like either Trump nor Clinton. Trump is overall more disliked in Florida than Clinton is, but he is currently only 4 points behind her in the state.

With 29 electoral votes, Florida is the biggest battleground state. It would be hard for a candidate to lose Florida and win the presidency.
