Vice President Joe Biden said he’s “not a big fan” of former Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner in recent interview. Biden talked with CNN’s Michael Smerconish about Weiner, as well as other topics of Biden’s future.

The topic arose after the FBI began investigating new found emails from Hillary Clinton’s private account. The emails contained information on Weiner and allegations of sexual text messages with an under-aged female. The new information caused the FBI and the New York Police Department to open a preliminary investigation of the allegations.

Biden believes that if what Clinton said in those emails is true, they should be released. He believes that the emails should be released “for the whole world to see.”

Smerconish asked Biden about his opinion on Weiner’s involvement with the emails. Biden responded with: “I should not comment on Anthony Weiner. I’m not a big fan. I wasn’t before he got in trouble. So I shouldn’t comment on Anthony Weiner.”

Weiner recently separated with Huma Abedin, a top Clinton aide because of the sexual messages over the summer.

Biden stood firm on his decision not to run for president when asked if he regretted it in light of the renewed emails controversy. “I didn’t run for one simple, overarching reason: My son was dying and he died. That’s the total reason. I have great respect for Hillary.”
