Once again a wicked snowstorm is hobbling Boston.

So tomorrow the city’s public schools will be shut down. This is for the third time students are missing classes because of inclement weather. WEBN was at this afternoon’s City Hall press conference where Mayor Marty Walsh said his decision was to ensure the safety of students and parents.

The raging storm is expected to leave 9-13 inches of wet and heavy snow. There will also be winds about 50 mph and low visibility.

Walsh said there will be 600 pieces of equipment salting and plowing the streets. So he wants traffic to be almost non-existent especially for the morning commute.

“We are asking people to stay off the roads tomorrow. Take public transportation if possible. The MBTA is going to be running,” said the Mayor.

He said to report any emergencies to 911 and any non-emergencies to 311.
