Andrew Stevenson Shares Thoughts On Spring Training

Every year teams bring up minor league players for Spring Training. They get both big-league experience and a chance to prove themselves. Washington Nationals outfielder Andrew Stevenson spent his first three professional seasons in the minor leagues before being called up in 2017. Then he started the 2018 season down in the minors again before being called back up.

“It’s been good, I remember a few years back before I reached the big leagues, just coming here and being around the guys and seeing what they do, what makes them tick. And I think it’s good to get guys in here and just get them comfortable with being around big leagues and thank every day that you can come and learn something,” Stevenson said.

In 57 games with the Nationals last year Stevenson had a batting average of .253 with 13 runs batted in.
