12 year old Massachusetts native drowns in Puerto Rico

A young boy was found dead in the water outside of Condado Beach at San Juan on Tuesday morning. No other information about the boy is known at this time.

Two young boys entered the waters at Condado Beach on Sunday night, before falling into distress and pleading for help. One boy was quickly recovered whilst the other disappeared. His body was then discovered by a local police department on Tuesday morning, after an ongoing search from Sunday night.

Condado beach is known for its dangerous waters, with many signs warning beachgoers of the risk of a rip current. According to an official for the San Juan Coast Guard, there were several news media reports warning tourists of the dangerous sea conditions last week.
