Events are springing up around Boston this weekend to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the
Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum is teaming up with organizations around Boston to recreate the atmosphere of the historical event.

Some of the events this weekend include a reenactment of the event, a meet and greet with Tea
Party descendants, and a march to the historic harbor.

Evan O’Brien, the creative manager of the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, said they
received tea from the East India Company, the same company whose tea was dumped in the
harbor 250 years ago.

“So, tons of tea from all around the world will once again be going into the Boston Harbor at the
same location it was destroyed 250 years ago,” said O’Brien.
