Nikki Haley gains support in Iowa for small business stances

Republican presidential candidates have been campaigning in Iowa in preparation for the 2024 caucuses. They’ve been traveling around the state talking to voters about the issues they care about.
Candidate Nikki Haley recently spoke at a local event space in Ankeny, Iowa. She eased concerns about the country’s economic state and shared her plans to fix them.
“Make the small business tax cuts permanent. They made them temporary. Small businesses are the heartbeat of our economy. We need to start proving it by making those small business tax cuts permanent,” Haley said.
John Erikson, an Iowa small business owner, supports Haley because he believes she will represent his interests in the White House.
“I think she’s a strong leader, and an intelligent woman, and she’s pragmatic. I think she can bring this country together, I really do,” Erikson said.
Voters here in Iowa have made one thing clear — they care about small businesses, and they want a president who does too.
