Father of Chiefs QB Arrested in DWI Chargers

(Las Vegas, NV) — The father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, arrested on DWI charges in Texas. Patrick Mahomes, Sr. arrested Saturday according to Smith County Court Records

Mahomes Sr. was charged with a DWI, on a third-degree felony charge that carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison if convicted. He was also arrested on a DWI charge in 2018 and 2019. 

He was released yesterday on a $10,000 bond. Daily Mail confirmed that Mahomes Sr. will still be able to attend the Super Bowl despite this incident as his bond conditions do not prevent him from traveling out of state.  

Bond documents also state he’ll have to remain sober while in the VIP box on Sunday.
