The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. Players know the stage is set for a showdown with Kansas City.

“Our whole life depends on this game,” said wide receiver Jauan Jennings, with just days remaining till the big game on Sunday night.

As the countdown to Sunday is underway, the 49ers are asserting themselves as a united team. To them, this game is more than just an opportunity for glory for the players, coaches, and supporters; it’s a test of determination, resilience, and gratitude.

“I came a long way and I appreciate the journey I’ve been on,” said defensive tackle Javon Hargrave. Hargrave said one thing that keeps him level headed on the field is thinking back to the videos of Kobe Bryant that he watches daily.

Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir said he constantly visualizes and hears someone during games, that someone being coach Shanahan.

Lenoir said coach Shanahan consistently uses the term “style by play” during their game practices. “Style by Play is physical, smashmouth football, pursuit to the ball like no other, playing with your hair on fire.” Lenoir finds some comfort in recalling Shanahan’s pursuit of his team’s goals and teaching methods.

Looking ahead to the big game, the 49ers are pledging the importance of keeping their head in the game and remembering what brought them to their current position in the first place.
