Governor Healey Mysterious 4-Day Trip

Governor Maura Healey went on a 4-day trip to Puerto Rico on a personal trip that she informed the public of in February. Exclaiming “the need to protect the privacy and security of her family while also providing information to the public.” Going on their first vacation in a long time because of Healey’s busy schedule. 

The first response denying this vacation from practices earlier in the term. Making the public question what the governor should and shouldn’t be allowed to share with the public. The governor’s office announced that there is no notice of the governor’s vacation due to security  threats.

The change in policy happened after the local neo-Nazis demonstrated outside her home in  Arlington. The governor stated “my personal life is my personal life. I’m going to work to make sure that privacy is maintained for my family.” 

Proceeding in the future the governor’s personal out-of-state will be available on The Boston Globe her personal monthly calendar upon request. But not regarding the arrival or departure of  the governor, ensuring her safety to the public
