Restaurant owners hope to meet with Mayor Michelle Wu to discuss how their businesses can remain profitable despite the city’s policies.
In an announcement released last month, the city said due to the North End’s high volume of restaurants and pedestrians, on-street dining permits would not be issued, according to Boston.com.
Owners continued to voice their concerns by protesting outside the annual St. Patrick’s Day breakfast in South Boston last week.
Wu’s administration is open to issuing specialized guidelines for certain neighborhoods throughout the outdoor dining season, which begins May 1.
