Thousands of residents across Massachusetts– from Barnstable to Berkshire County– were without power as a powerful Nor’easter swept through most of the state.

According to a post made by the National Weather Service’s Boston branch, there were more than 31,000 residences without power across the state due to strong winds from the storm.

Although the outages are widespread across the state, they are most concentrated in Central Massachusetts and the Merrimack Valley.

Employees from National Grid and Eversource are on the ground working to restore power throughout the impacted areas.
