Two additional suspects charged in Lynn drive-by murder case

On September 2, 2023, a drive-by shooting took place in a neighborhood of Lynn, Massachusetts, leaving five injured and two dead. The two victims were 21-year-old Jandriel Heredia and 25-year-old Abraham Diaz.

Originally, in this case, three people were already arraigned for this drive-by. Now, two more join the group of defendants.

Leonardo Espinoza (15), Darwin Bartista (20), and Justin Alba (25) were the original three indicted in the case. Abel Severino Reyes (21) and Carlos Ramirez Corniel (16) have now both additionally been arraigned and have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Lynn residents are left stunned by this tragedy and horrified by the young group’s actions.

The takedown of the alleged murderers took a joint team made up of the Lynn Police Department and Massachusetts State Police Detectives.

Reyes and Corinel are expected to return to court on January 27th and will be defended by Amy Sixt and Vivianne Jeruchim.
