Jaylen Brown isn’t looking past any opponent on Celtics’ quest for 19th title

The Celtics won big over the Knicks on Sunday afternoon, but they are not putting unnecessary emphasis on regular season wins as they look on to their end goal of a second straight championship.
Star forward Jaylen Brown made this point clear in his postgame interview. “No message,” Brown told NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin after Sunday’s win. “I think we just have been playing some good ball, and maybe we caught them on a bad day. Anything can happen in the playoffs, so we’re not overlooking anybody. So we’ve just got to get ready for the playoffs.”
Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla held the same opinion as Brown on the afternoon rout of the Knicks, stating, “It means absolutely nothing” to be 3-0 against the Knicks this season.
The Celtics are certainly focused on a singular goal and are not letting themselves ride too high or low on the basis of single-game results, a sentiment aligned with Joe Mazzulla’s messaging in his time leading the Celtics thus far.
