Clinton, Trump take Virginia

Hillary Clinton wins the Virginia primary with 64% to Sanders’ 35%. Her presence at the George Mason University in Fairfax on Monday and other campaigning endeavors in Virginia helped the former Secretary of State take over the state. Clinton has received 58 delegates from the southeastern state while her opponent, Sanders has received 32.

Republican front-runner Donald Trump won with 34.8% of votes while Rubio came in as a close second with 31.9%. Earlier this week, Mr. Trump spoke at Regent University in Virginia about his recent success amongst evangelicals in polls. Trump has received 16 delegates from the state while Rubio received 14.
Virginia Election Day began at 6am and polls closed at 7pm.
