Ready, set, energy! Japan hopes to have infinite clean enery by 2030. Japan has few natural energy sources. But it is using solar and renewable energies to make the initiative happen. In order to reach the goal, the Space Solar Power System has been implemented to help decrease global warming and energy deficit. The Space Solar Power System operates by taking the sun’s energy and shining it through waves into the Earth’s ground. The sun’s waves in space are five tmes as intense as the rays that shine onto Earth. The created energy would be 6x cheaper than the present price of Japan’s energy. Although Japanese scientists are confident in the equipment, they are concerned about the intensity of the laser beams on things on Earth, like birds and airplanes.
