Oasis tour does not have a Boston date

Britpop band Oasis has released a list of cities and dates for a 2025 North American reunion tour. And guess what, Boston did not make it onto that list.
“America. Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along”, said the band in social media posts.
The closest concert to the greater Boston area– and New England as a whole– is Metlife Stadium in Easter Rutherford, New Jersey on August 31. Other places listed on this continent include Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.
However, there is still the question of if Boston could be one of the cities chosen for “Oasis Live ‘25”. The previous week, British music magazine NME revealed that there could be a stop in Boston.
NME is standing by that statement, saying that “another US show is planned, reportedly set for Boston, Massachusetts.” There is also the possibility of more shows in South America and Asia that could be announced soon.
Yet, local fans are seemingly disappointed that they did not see at true Boston date on the tour date list. Fans in the area have been waiting two decades to see the Gallagher brothers reunite in concert after their 15-year hiatus. “I’m so sad Oasis isn’t coming to Boston,” said one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter. “I’m so not ready to fight half the US for MetLife tickets.”
